Dishwasher (Full Time)
About The Position
Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen and work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The position is based at 31 Technology Drive, Building 31, Irvine, California. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Utility or dishwashing experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $21.50 per hour. The Dishwasher scrapes and rinses food from dishes before washing them by hand or loading them into dishwashing equipment. The role also involves washing cookware and trays; polishing silver when assigned; maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and appropriate equipment temperatures and chemical levels; cleaning food-preparation surfaces and floors; removing trash; moving supplies and equipment; and helping load and unload supplies and product. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Utility or dishwashing experience required.
Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or load them into dishwashing equipment, as assigned.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polish silver using the equipment or procedures assigned, which may include a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, cookware, trays, and assigned areas.
- Follow outlined safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
