About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for operating and maintaining the dish machine, washing and storing tableware and kitchenware, and keeping the dish room clean and organized. The role supports dining room and kitchen operations by maintaining adequate supplies of clean tableware, handling items carefully, removing trash, transferring supplies and equipment, and assisting with food preparation and cleaning as needed. The position is expected to follow health and sanitation standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum lifting capacity of 70 pounds.
• Minimum pulling capacity of 70 pounds.
• Ability to push, bend, stoop, and reach upward.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to hear.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and immediately report functional or mechanical problems.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage, place it in designated containers, and haul it to the dumpster.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or with a hand truck.
• Perform basic food preparation as needed.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards.
