About the position
The job overview for this position is to set the UX vision and strategy across the company, attract and develop top-tier design talent, and infuse the culture with a design thinking mindset. The UX leader will be responsible for communicating the importance of great user and customer experiences and their impact on business success. They will also need to effectively communicate critical KPIs, metrics, and business outcomes that deliver an ROI to the organization. This role requires 10 years of experience in user experience design and 5 years of experience leading user experience teams.
Responsibilities
- Set the UX vision and strategy across the company
- Attract and develop top-tier design talent while cultivating a high-performing, values-driven culture
- Define critical KPIs, metrics, and business outcomes that deliver an ROI to the organization and effectively communicate them
- Infuse the culture with a design thinking mindset and creative approach to solving business, product, and user problems
- Communicate the importance of great user and customer experiences for business success, including sales and profits
- Lead and manage user experience teams, providing guidance and coaching
- Have a strong understanding of UX/digital product design and the craft of design
- Demonstrate experience in hiring, leading, and coaching high-performing, cross-geography, or remote teams
- Understand product-led growth and design principles that support it
- Passion for creating magical moments and solving problems in simple and efficient ways
- Balance short-term and long-term thinking while raising quality and team performance
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may hinder the team from meeting strategic, business, or financial goals
- Work effectively in an Agile environment, including the ability to adapt.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in user experience design, with 5 years leading user experience teams
- BA or higher in a design related field or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in UX/digital product design with a strong understanding of the craft of design
- 5+ years of experience in people leadership, including hiring, leading, and coaching high performing teams
- Foundational understanding of product led growth and design principles
- Passion for creating magical moments and solving problems in simple and efficient ways
- Ability to balance short-term and long-term thinking while raising quality and team performance
- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues that may impair strategic, business, or financial goals
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment
