About the position

The job overview for this role is to provide strategic vision for the overall site experience, including SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), personalization, and product-led growth (PLG) initiatives. The candidate will lead SEO initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will also be responsible for leading A/B testing and optimization strategies, as well as collaborating with Product and Product Marketing to align website experiences with product adoption and user onboarding strategies. The candidate should have expertise in personalization and UI/UX strategies, stay updated with industry trends, and provide strong leadership to build and develop a high performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision for the overall site experience, including SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO) and critical conversion funnels, personalization, and product-led growth (PLG) initiatives.
  • Lead SEO initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement on-page and off-page optimization tactics, including keyword research, content strategy and optimization, technical SEO, and link building.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of leading the team in diagnosing the root causes of site traffic challenges and developing well-structured plans to address them.
  • Possess a deep understanding of CRO principles and methodologies, employing data-driven techniques to improve conversion rates across the website.
  • Lead the development and execution of A/B testing and optimization strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance user experience and drive conversions.
  • Have expertise in personalization and UI/UX strategies in order to define and execute personalized messaging, dynamic content, and user pathing based on return visitor insights and audience segments.
  • Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing to align website experiences with product adoption, product pathing, and user onboarding strategies.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize the website for self-serve conversion pathing based on potential value of a customer and desired sales motion.
  • Utilize various tools and techniques to gather, interpret and analyze data to draw actionable insights and inform strategic decisions to optimize website performance, including site speed, based on our overall business goals and objectives.
  • Implement clear processes, controls, alerts, guidelines, and quality control procedures to uphold consistency, accuracy, and an error-free website.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, with the ability to translate them into actionable strategies and to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to build and develop a high performing team and to foster a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.
  • Requirements

    • 7-10+ years experience in site experience and optimization
    • Expert knowledge of digital/site experience principles, methodology and tools
    • Strong technical, analytical, and creative skills
    • Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
    • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
    • Experience working across multiple teams to achieve company goals
    • Experience growing and developing teams
    • Experience with multiple CMS environments
    • Experience with website analysis using various analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, internal reporting tools)
