About The Position

First Due is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Product Marketing to lead the segmentation, positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and commercial success of our industry-leading public safety software platform. This role is responsible for translating complex product capabilities into compelling customer value, enabling Sales and Customer Success, and driving market adoption across Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Fire Prevention, Community Risk Reduction, and Emergency Management. As the voice of the market within the organization, the Director, Product Marketing Management will partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure our products are positioned effectively against competitors, resonate with public safety decision-makers, and support First Due's continued growth. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and has experience building out the product marketing function in B2B enterprise/AI.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience with increasing responsibility.
  • 3+ years leading product marketing strategy for enterprise software products.
  • Demonstrated success launching enterprise SaaS products and driving market adoption.
  • Experience developing positioning, messaging, pricing support, and go-to-market strategies for complex software platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software buying cycles and multi-stakeholder purchasing decisions.
  • Experience supporting Sales organizations through enablement content, competitive positioning, and product education.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong storytelling ability with experience translating technical concepts into customer-focused messaging.
  • Successful track record leading a high-performing marketing team
  • Experience conducting competitive analysis, market research, and win/loss analysis.
  • Highly analytical with experience using product adoption metrics, pipeline data, and campaign performance to inform strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple product launches simultaneously.
  • Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to improve marketing productivity, content creation, and market research.

  • Public safety, GovTech, or highly regulated B2B software experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing product marketing team.
  • Build and maintain the segmentation strategy for current market focus and future market investments.
  • Develop and maintain differentiated product positioning and messaging that clearly communicate customer value across our public safety markets.
  • Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to update the overarching First Due story, what makes us special, and why agencies need to modernize.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new product launches, major feature releases, pricing updates, and product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Product leadership to influence roadmap prioritization using market insights, customer feedback, win/loss analysis, and competitive research.
  • Own competitive intelligence, staying current on strategies, tactics, pricing, and product developments across key competitors.
  • Build comprehensive launch plans that align Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive stakeholders.
  • Translate technical functionality into clear, compelling customer benefits tailored to executive, operational, and frontline public safety audiences.
  • Develop sales enablement materials including battle cards, presentations, demo narratives, objection handling guides, and other customer-facing collateral.
  • Create messaging frameworks that support digital marketing campaigns, website content, demand generation, webinars, trade shows, analyst relations, and customer communications.
  • Develop customer personas, buying journey maps, and market segmentation strategies.
  • Work closely with Revenue Operations and Marketing Analytics to measure launch effectiveness, campaign performance, pipeline influence, product adoption, and customer engagement.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate content development, competitive research, messaging refinement, and go-to-market planning while maintaining high editorial quality.
