About The Position

The Director of Supply Chain Operations leads efforts to enhance and streamline supply chain operations, oversee projects, and align operations with organizational objectives. The role identifies, updates, and creates policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness, while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

The Director provides leadership to the supply chain operations team and collaborates with business functions and customers. The position analyzes expenses and performance metrics, improves procure-to-pay processes, and works with Finance to ensure operational practices are reflected accurately in the general ledger and align with budget expectations. It also oversees supply chain projects, develops strategies to improve performance and resilience, and promotes sustainable practices, innovation, and customer-focused service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of supply chain experience.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to the supply chain operations team and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with quality, clinical, finance, IT, HR, and other business functions to align and integrate supply chain strategies.
• Analyzes expenses related to items and purchased services and develops strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Improves procure-to-pay efficiencies to minimize match exceptions and support timely transaction processing.
• Works with Finance to ensure operational practices are accurately reflected in the general ledger and align with budgetary expectations.
• Analyzes performance metrics and implements improvements to meet or exceed targets.
• Ensures facility compliance with governmental and other regulatory laws and guidelines.
• Leads initiatives to optimize supply chain operations, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service improvement.
• Develops and implements strategies to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain performance.
• Monitors and analyzes key performance indicators to identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions.
• Oversees supply chain projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to align projects with organizational goals.
• Tracks project progress, manages timelines, and ensures deliverables are met.
• Creates policies and education for supply chain operational leaders and staff.
• Identifies supply chain risks and develops strategies to mitigate them and ensure continuity and resilience.
• Implements and promotes sustainable supply chain practices to reduce environmental impact and support corporate social responsibility goals.
• Works with customers to ensure supply chain operations meet or exceed their expectations and requirements.
• Contributes to long-term supply chain strategies that support business goals and objectives.
• Fosters innovation within the supply chain team and encourages new approaches to improve operations.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws and standards.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
