About The Position

Givzey (Version2.ai) is seeking a Director of Sales to serve as the VP of Sales’ right hand, running day-to-day operations for the Account Executive (AE) and Business Development Representative (BDR) teams so the VP can focus on strategy, executive-level forecasting, and growth initiatives. This hands-on, detail-oriented frontline leadership role is responsible for day-to-day management, pipeline reviews, hiring and firing, and achieving revenue targets for a team of 6–8 AEs. The role combines pipeline coaching, process ownership, and revenue-team culture-setting, and involves working directly with deals and drafting emails alongside representatives. Givzey | Version2.ai is a fully remote, AI-native company focused on autonomous fundraising. Its Virtual Engagement Officers (VEOs) manage donor portfolios and deliver personalized outreach through text, email, video, and robotically handwritten notes. The company serves higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience.
  • At least 2 years of frontline sales leadership directly managing a quota-carrying team of AEs and/or BDRs.
  • Background in B2B SaaS with process-driven leadership.
  • Track record of achieving team-level revenue targets, not only individual quotas.
  • Ability to run pipeline reviews, coach cold calls, and build forecast models.
  • Process-driven approach and strong CRM discipline; HubSpot is preferred.
  • Proficiency with sales metrics and pipeline management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to fundraising, nonprofit, healthcare, or higher-education buyers; preferred but not required.
  • Experience scaling a sales team from single-digit headcount.
  • Familiarity with sales engagement tools such as Outreach and Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator or Recruiter.
  • Prior experience as a deputy or second-in-command to a sales leader.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach Account Executives and Business Development Representatives through weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and deal strategy sessions.
  • Own day-to-day pipeline health by inspecting stages, unblocking stalled deals, and flagging at-risk forecast items to the VP of Sales.
  • Partner with the VP of Sales on territory design, quota-setting, and compensation plan execution, translating strategy into weekly team priorities.
  • Ramp and coach new AEs through message and pitch rehearsal, call shadowing, and deal reviews.
  • Run sales forecasting by rolling up team numbers, reviewing commit versus best-case forecasts, and presenting a clean forecast to the VP of Sales.
  • Serve as the team’s escalation point for deal strategy, pricing exceptions, and cross-functional blockers, including legal, security review, and customer success handoff.
  • Deputize for the VP of Sales during their absence in internal standups, cross-functional syncs, and selected customer-facing situations.
  • Help build and refine the team’s playbooks, templates, and enablement content.
  • Manage hiring and firing and work toward revenue targets for a team of 6–8 AEs.
