About The Position

Snowplow is a leader in the real-time customer context layer, specializing in collecting, validating, enriching, and delivering behavioral data for advanced analytics, ML, and AI agent decisioning. Our event tracking is utilized by over 250 companies globally, processing trillions of events monthly. We empower businesses like Experian, AutoTrader, Strava, Condé Nast, and HelloFresh to build a robust, first-party data foundation essential for customer-facing AI agents, personalization, recommendations, and real-time analytics. This leadership role is crucial for shaping market perception and driving adoption of Snowplow's offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the business value of customer behavioral data, composable architecture, and real-time context for AI decisioning. You will be responsible for developing and executing Snowplow's positioning and messaging strategy, bringing original ideas to how we communicate value. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, from crafting compelling narratives to delivering them in various forums, including industry events, sales calls, and internal discussions with co-founders. Maintaining a consistent and compelling narrative across all touchpoints—from initial prospect engagement to competitive deals and renewals—is paramount. This position offers unparalleled access to cutting-edge AI tools, including Claude, and a unified AI infrastructure. You will have a significant opportunity to influence how these tools are applied to product marketing functions such as messaging, competitive intelligence, and collateral generation, with the freedom to experiment and adapt as the technology evolves. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Growth, you will collaborate closely with Snowplow's co-founders to align with the company's vision and mission.

Requirements

  • Extensive B2B SaaS product marketing leadership experience, preferably in a related category.
  • Proven ability to shape positioning and narrative from the ground up, rather than solely executing existing playbooks.
  • A genuine belief in Snowplow's value proposition and vision, with the confidence to articulate and defend your own perspective, even when it challenges the status quo.
  • Strong narrative design skills, particularly for complex, enterprise-grade platforms, with the ability to create cohesive stories across multiple capabilities and personas.
  • Proficiency in translating complex technical capabilities into accessible language for non-technical, business-side stakeholders.
  • A public track record of evangelism, including experience speaking at industry events (in-person and virtual) and a history of publishing original thought leadership (e.g., personal blog/Substack, LinkedIn).
  • Credibility with sales organizations, established as a trusted subject-matter expert.
  • Excellent executive communication and upward management skills, with comfort working directly with founders.
  • Fluent and effective use of AI as an integral part of your personal workflow, coupled with a well-considered point of view on AI's impact on product marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an AI-native approach to product marketing, leveraging AI for research, messaging development, testing, and iteration, allowing more time for strategic judgment and narrative creation.
  • Shape Snowplow's internal AI tooling as it is developed, contributing a unique perspective on how AI is transforming product marketing.
  • Define and own positioning, messaging, and packaging for Snowplow's capabilities, articulating a clear and original point of view for both technical users and business stakeholders.
  • Craft and maintain Snowplow's core narrative, ensuring a consistent story that resonates with diverse audiences, from data engineers to CMOs and CDOs.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new product releases in collaboration with Product Management, including launch messaging, timing, tiering, and cross-functional rollout.
  • Own market signal by analyzing competitive dynamics and customer evidence, feeding insights back to Product Management to inform roadmap priorities.
  • Develop and maintain Snowplow's competitive positioning, equipping the sales team to effectively navigate competitive conversations.
  • Ensure Snowplow's narrative and differentiation are accurately represented in AI-driven buying research platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity), partnering with marketing teams on content and technical optimization.
  • Create and maintain product and use case website copy and visuals, ensuring alignment with Snowplow's evolving narrative and capabilities.
  • Build and deliver effective field enablement materials for Account Executives (AEs) and Account Managers (AMs), and participate in key sales calls as a subject-matter expert.
  • Develop and manage the central repository of product narratives, trustmarks, and customer stories for commercial teams, guiding the development of internal AI tooling for collateral generation.
  • Represent Snowplow's external narrative through speaking engagements at industry events (in-person and virtual) and by publishing original content on platforms like Substack or LinkedIn, as well as contributing to the Snowplow blog.
  • Create narrative and messaging for partner-facing content and joint positioning with ecosystem partners (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Conduct AI-driven Win/Loss analysis to ensure positioning and messaging are informed by real-world deal outcomes.
  • Provide Product Marketing input into packaging and pricing strategies, collaborating with Sales and Finance/RevOps to ensure alignment with the core narrative.
