About The Position

Cobalt is hiring a Director of Product Management, Platform to own the product surfaces that connect its pentesting offerings to customers’ security and business stacks and make the offerings easy to evaluate, configure, and scale. This newly created Product leadership role reports to the VP of Product Management and is directly accountable for platform architecture decisions, the partner and integration ecosystem, pricing and packaging mechanics, access and permissions models, and Product’s operational backbone of tooling, metrics, and content. The Director will lead a team spanning Customer Experience, Product Operations, and Platform/Integrations Product Managers. The role is the primary product partner to Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Security/Compliance stakeholders on how customers connect to, configure, and pay for Cobalt. It is a high-visibility build-and-scale role, with an existing integrations program—including a recently shipped Wiz integration—and a mandate to mature it into a defensible platform and ecosystem strategy. The position owns platform and integration strategy, technology partnerships, pricing and packaging, role-based access control, customer experience alignment, Product Operations, team development, and cross-functional execution. Success in the first year includes publishing a prioritized platform and integration roadmap and shipping at least one new strategic integration; documenting pricing and packaging for tier-based entitlements; establishing an RBAC and permissions framework that addresses enterprise and compliance gaps; running a unified Product Operations cadence; and building a team with clear ownership and strong cross-functional trust.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in a people-leadership role (Director, Group PM, or equivalent), ideally in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated experience owning platform, integrations, or ecosystem products, including defining build-versus-partner tradeoffs and shipping API/webhook-based integrations at scale.
  • Direct experience designing pricing and packaging for a multi-tier or multi-product SaaS portfolio.
  • Working knowledge of access control, authentication, and enterprise security/compliance requirements, including RBAC and SSO, SAML, or OIDC, as they apply to product design.
  • A track record of leading product operations or platform functions that support an entire product organization, including metrics, tooling, and roadmap cadence.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to align Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success around a shared roadmap.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting strategy and tradeoffs to executive leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or pentesting/offensive security domains.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Jira/Confluence, and Pendo.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the roadmap for Cobalt’s integration ecosystem, including build-versus-partner decisions and prioritization tied to revenue and retention impact.
  • Own the product side of technology partnerships, including API and webhook strategy, partner onboarding requirements, and joint roadmap alignment with strategic integration partners.
  • Work with Finance, Sales, and the VP of Product to design and evolve pricing and packaging across the tiered portfolio, including credits, contracts, and tier-based feature and integration entitlements.
  • Own the roadmap for role-based access control, authentication, and customer administration capabilities that meet enterprise security and compliance expectations.
  • Elevate the Customer Focus charter across the customer journey, scoping and calculator experience, findings and reports, asset and engagement management, and customer-facing catalogue.
  • Oversee Product Operations, including roadmap cadence, QBRs, Product Hour, in-platform content (Pendo), technical publications, usage and experience metrics, and tooling and vendor contract management.
  • Manage and develop Product Managers and product operations professionals; set goals, coach for growth, and represent the team’s roadmap to the VP of Product and cross-functional leadership.
  • Partner with Engineering leads and Design to translate platform strategy into epics, acceptance criteria, and shippable releases.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales to ensure go-to-market readiness for platform and integration launches.
