About The Position

LiveRamp is seeking a Director of Product to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of core platform capabilities, including ingestion, data catalog, platform APIs, and activation. This role translates company strategy and customer needs into measurable quarterly and annual objectives, and guides the platform lifecycle from discovery and technical planning through launch and ongoing optimization. The Director partners with Engineering and Architecture on requirements, architecture trade-offs, build/buy/partner decisions, and platform scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency. They lead customer and stakeholder discovery, define product and business metrics, support delivery teams with prototypes and acceptance criteria, and work with go-to-market teams on positioning, packaging, and launches. The role also represents the platform in strategic customer and partner discussions, promotes reusable shared services, establishes transparent prioritization, anticipates market and regulatory changes, and mentors other product managers. The team leads the foundational platform used across LiveRamp products and data collaboration experiences. Working across Identity, Connectivity, Clean Rooms, and partner integrations, it develops common services, APIs, documentation, self-service tools, and platform standards. The team collaborates with Engineering, Architecture, Privacy/Legal, Security, Product teams, and cloud and technology partners to support consistent, reliable, privacy-first capabilities across solutions and clouds.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including at least 4+ years focused on platform, infrastructure, or API products serving multiple internal and external customers.
  • Proven track record building and scaling shared platforms or services that support multiple product lines or business units.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software; data, advertising/marketing technology, cloud, or identity-related domains are noted as ideal.
  • Experience defining and executing a multi-year product strategy with clear milestones, metrics, and business outcomes.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to discuss architecture, trade-offs, and constraints with senior engineers and architects and translate them into product decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using product analytics, experimentation, and customer feedback to prioritize and measure impact.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills across functions and organizational levels, including ability to influence without authority and align Product, Engineering, GTM, and leadership.
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast-changing ecosystem involving cloud platforms, large enterprise customers, and technology partners.
  • Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term platform health, including technical debt management and foundational investment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting product strategy and roadmaps to executive and customer audiences.
  • Experience leading and mentoring product managers or playing a leadership role in a broader product organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or managing large-scale data or identity platforms, clean rooms, or privacy-preserving data collaboration technologies.
  • Experience working closely with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Snowflake and designing products across multiple cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with modern data architectures and technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, streaming, SQL/NoSQL, ETL/ELT, and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with API-first product design, developer experience, and building ecosystems or marketplaces on top of a core platform.
  • Exposure to digital advertising, martech, adtech, or measurement, including evolving addressability and privacy landscapes.
  • Understanding of global privacy and data protection considerations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and industry self-regulation and their influence on platform design.
  • Experience with outcome-driven product development frameworks such as OKRs and north-star metrics, and structured prioritization approaches such as RICE or cost/benefit.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth or transformation environment scaling or re-platforming core capabilities.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a technical or business discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for core platform capabilities, from strategy and roadmap through launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate company strategy and customer needs into a platform roadmap with quarterly and annual objectives and measurable success criteria.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture to define technical requirements, make build/buy/partner decisions, and ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead discovery with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, translating workflows and pain points into reusable platform services and APIs.
  • Define and track product and business metrics, including adoption, API utilization, latency, reliability, and margin, to guide prioritization and iteration.
  • Drive product execution by developing prototypes, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting delivery teams in shipping on time and with quality.
  • Collaborate with GTM, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing on positioning, packaging, and launch plans.
  • Represent the platform in strategic customer and partner conversations, including roadmap reviews, executive briefings, and escalations.
  • Promote platform thinking and reuse across product lines, designing new capabilities as shared services rather than one-off solutions.
  • Maintain a transparent prioritization process that balances customer impact, technical investment, regulatory needs, and long-term platform health.
  • Ensure the platform roadmap anticipates and responds to market, regulatory, and ecosystem shifts.
  • Mentor and coach product managers in platform best practices.
  • Define and evolve core platform architecture and capabilities supporting LiveRamp’s customer and partner ecosystem.
  • Create and manage common services, including permissions and entitlements, observability, and data onboarding and activation workflows.
  • Enable other teams through robust APIs, documentation, and self-service tools.
  • Set and uphold platform-level standards and SLAs for reliability, performance, and compliance.
  • Partner with cloud and technology partners to deepen integrations and unlock capabilities for customers.
  • Serve as a center of excellence for platform product management, influencing strategy, best practices, and investment decisions across the product organization.
