About The Position

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy / Pharmacist-in-Charge (DOP/PIC) for an interim leadership opportunity at an acute behavioral health hospital in Glendora, California. The role oversees pharmacy operations, manages a small pharmacy team, and maintains regulatory compliance while the facility transitions to permanent leadership.

This is a full-time, temporary contract position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week). On-call coverage is required Monday through Thursday and during the first and last weekends of each month. The listed pay rate is $75–$85 per hour, and the start date is November 2, 2026.

Requirements

• Active California Pharmacist license.
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy management experience.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership skills.
• Availability for scheduled weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and fulfill Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities.
• Manage pharmacy staffing, scheduling, and operational priorities.
• Coordinate medication purchasing, inventory, and replacement orders.
• Investigate and document medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical staff.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and required pharmacy documentation.
• Provide scheduled on-call coverage and support continuity of pharmacy operations.
