About The Position

Lakeside Generations, a Cassia community in Dassel, is hiring a Registered Nurse to serve as Director of Health Services. The director leads the clinical team and organizes, directs, implements, and evaluates the clinical program to provide exceptional resident care and services consistent with regulations and clinical best practices. The position is supported by an after-hours RN team that triages calls during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The director helps advance Cassia’s mission and values while promoting excellent service to residents.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The listed annual wage range is $83,000–$103,000, depending on experience, and the position offers a $10,000 bonus. The workplace is at Lakeside Generations in Dassel, Minnesota.

Requirements

• Hold and maintain a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial assessments of potential residents.
• Oversee nursing care for Assisted Living residents.
• Create and implement an individual care plan for each resident.
• Protect residents’ rights and advocate on their behalf.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel, and family members about residents’ needs and health status.
• Set and manage the budget for nursing and care-related areas.
• Monitor and maintain resident charts and progress notes.
• Oversee the ordering, setup, and administration of medications.
• Meet nursing department staffing needs, including hiring, evaluation, and scheduling.
• Provide health and medication training to nursing personnel, support continued education, and document training to ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Supervise nursing staff, including providing guidance, coaching, and discipline to maintain a high standard of care and a positive work environment.
• Manage the facility in the absence of the Executive Director or other certified designees.
