About The Position

Oxford Medical Simulation is hiring a Director of Global Marketing to serve as the commercial strategist and editorial owner for marketing across the UK and US. The role owns positioning, product marketing, thought leadership, events, and sales alignment, and joins a small marketing team based in the US and UK. It is a senior individual-contributor and small-team-lead role rather than a full-time people-management position, working alongside an established go-to-market strategy and defined ICPs, buyer personas, and messaging architecture. The Director will drive campaign execution across both regions, oversee an external campaign agency, produce and quality-control marketing content, execute account-based marketing and demand programs, operate the marketing technology stack, and partner with Sales, Account Management, and Success. Extensive, hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude is essential, including setting quality standards and review workflows for AI-assisted customer-facing content. The role also owns priority events, customer marketing, marketing operating rhythms, performance reporting, and day-to-day budget management. The position is full-time, based in the United States with EST preferred, and involves up to 20% travel. The company describes its work environment as flexible and remote-first.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
  • Senior ownership of positioning, product marketing, and editorial strategy in a SaaS healthtech environment selling enterprise deals.
  • Direct experience marketing to US health systems and a clear understanding of their buying committees and consensus-driven procurement.
  • Extensive, current, hands-on experience using Claude and modern AI tools as core production infrastructure, including setting quality standards and review workflows for AI-generated content.
  • A proven senior-level editorial eye, with the ability to rewrite headlines and tighten reports and distinguish strong work from merely fluent content.
  • Demonstrable experience owning product marketing and competitive positioning, rather than only executing campaigns based on another person’s brief.
  • Comfort managing a budget and people and/or a flexible pool of contractors and agencies.
  • Familiarity with the modern B2B marketing stack, including HubSpot, LinkedIn paid, intent and ABM tooling, and basic analytics.
  • Experience operating as a senior individual contributor and small-team lead rather than as a full-time people manager.
  • Experience working alongside a defined go-to-market strategy rather than setting one from scratch.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing to nursing schools and academic institutions is highly desirable.
  • Experience marketing to NHS trusts and UK universities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end execution of the UK and US marketing campaign calendar across ABM, paid, organic, email, content, and events.
  • Manage the external campaign agency by briefing, reviewing, raising quality, challenging work when needed, and maintaining timelines.
  • Monitor campaign performance, decide what to stop or expand, and report to the executive team weekly.
  • Produce marketing assets including web copy, landing pages, case studies, white papers, sales collateral, social content, and email sequences.
  • Use AI tools, including Claude, to direct, edit, and quality-control AI-assisted content to a standard that reads as authored rather than generated.
  • Translate clinical outcomes, customer stories, and product capabilities into commercially compelling proof points.
  • Execute account-based marketing plays targeting named US health systems, NHS trusts, and university nursing programs in the US and UK.
  • Run the marketing technology stack day-to-day, with HubSpot as the core platform and ABM and intent tools as they scale.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Success to align marketing programs with pipeline needs.
  • Own execution of priority events in the US and UK, including pre-event ABM, on-site presence, and post-event follow-up; measure pipeline contribution.
  • Develop customer references into case studies, reference calls, co-marketed content, and advocacy.
  • Set and run the marketing operating rhythm, including weekly campaign reviews, monthly performance reporting, and quarterly planning against pipeline targets set by the CEO and Sales.
  • Manage the marketing budget day-to-day and hold agencies and vendors accountable to it.
  • Own positioning, product marketing, thought leadership, editorial strategy, and sales alignment.
