About The Position

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Director of Dining Service I for its Northwestern University account in Evanston, Illinois. The role provides advice and hands-on operational support for the day-to-day operations and financial success of one or more campus foodservice locations. The position ensures adherence to contract guidelines, Health Department regulations, company standards, and expectations for food quality, freshness, and presentation. Requirements

Six or more years of operational food service management experience.
Knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to maintaining high quality standards.
Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
Must be experienced with computers.
ServSafe® Certified.

Responsibilities

Supervise the hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold excellence in service and food quality.
Maintain client and customer satisfaction by consistently meeting food quality and customer service standards.
Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and financial reports, including reports related to food and labor costs.
Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards to protect customer health and safety.
Champion strong client relationships and align programs with client objectives to support satisfaction and retention.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of dining operations.
