About The Position

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking an Assistant Director of Dining Services for the University of Chicago. The role is hands-on and focuses on food service, building relationships, and exceeding client and guest expectations. The position works with the Chef and management team to deliver high-quality dining services and contributes to the success of the team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as internet use.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Chef and management team to create nutritious, high-quality food.
• Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.
• Maintain excellent relationships with the client.
• Manage, train, and develop associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
