About The Position
Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Director of Dining Service III at LSU Shreveport. The role directs the day-to-day operations and financial success of a campus food service location, adhering to contract guidelines, Health Department regulations, company standards, and expectations for food quality, freshness, and presentation. The position offers potential for advancement and the opportunity to make an immediate impact on food service operations.
Requirements
- Three or more years of operational food service management experience.
- Knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
- Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to maintaining high quality standards.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Computer experience.
- ServSafe® Certified.

- Associate degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold service and food quality standards.
- Maintain client and customer satisfaction by consistently meeting food quality and customer service standards.
- Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and financial reports, including reports related to food and labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards to protect customer health and safety.
- Foster strong client relationships and align dining programs with client objectives to support satisfaction and retention.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient dining service operations.
