About The Position

The Director of Community Relations leads sales strategy and processes to achieve or exceed budgeted occupancy and average-rate goals. The role provides strategic direction, performance oversight, and hands-on coaching to strengthen sales execution, prospect engagement, and organizational accountability. The Director works closely with clinical and administrative leadership across the organization and provides regular updates on occupancy growth and related areas.

Requirements

At least 5 years of sales and marketing leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Nice To Haves

Senior living industry experience is strongly preferred.
Experience in related fields, such as home care or hospice, is accepted.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with prospective residents, families, and other decision-makers.
Assess potential resident needs by answering questions and leading community tours.
Guide prospects through the admission and move-in process.
Maintain timely, accurate, and complete sales records.
Document lead activity, contact information, occupancy forecasts, and related information.
Achieve or exceed budgeted occupancy, move-in, revenue, and conversion goals.
Monitor performance trends and maintain an active sales pipeline.
Develop timely corrective action plans when results fall below target.
Conduct ongoing competitive and market analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations for sales and marketing plans.
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members as needed.
Work closely with clinical and administrative leadership and provide regular updates on occupancy growth and related areas.
