About The Position

A leading technology vendor is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to grow its business among Enterprise customers in the Northeast USA. Candidates MUST reside within the NY/NJ/CT Metro region. Regular Travel throughout the Northeast USA region, as well as Canada, Required. Position Objectives: Discover, develop and close new enterprise sales opportunities, direct and via enablement of partners: reseller, MSP, technology consulting, strategic alliances. Generates demand for our client’s solutions, works closely with multiple enterprise stakeholders: IT, Operations, Networks, UC/Telecoms, AV/Workplace tech, Finance. Grow revenue and increase profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the SaaS, UC, UCaaS, AV/IT, Workplace technology, technology markets required.
  • 3-5 Years selling ITSM, performance, device and networking management and monitoring solutions highly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a revenue-responsible Business Development role holding direct target (“quota-carrying”) responsibility.
  • Preferably extensive selling experience as Vendor into Enterprise accounts in partnership with VARs, VADs, DMRs, MSPs.
  • Relationship management skills and ability to build and extend productive business partnerships.
  • Excellent knowledge of productivity applications suites and Salesforce CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with channel partners and distributors to promote the firm’s product lines.
  • Develop sales plans, including goals, strategies, deadlines and metrics.
  • Develop target accounts campaigns: outreach, prospecting and qualifying opportunities.
  • Identify and execute on new sales opportunities, e.g. new markets, applications, verticals, geographies, partnerships.
  • Work closely with internal teams to close sales and achieve revenue goals: Sales, CRM, RevOps, Marketing, Sales Engineering, Finance.
  • Reporting/Forecasting: Identify opportunities for improvement in Sales and Business reporting.
  • Build reports, dashboards, KPIs.
  • Participate at industry events through presentations, speaking engagements, panel engagements and other trade show activities.
