Director of Brand Marketing

Vesync•Tustin, CA

About The Position

VeSync is hiring a Director of Brand Marketing for a pre-launch wellness and technology brand built around a connected product combining hardware and software. The role owns how the brand reaches people through social media, community, public relations and earned media, brand ambassadors, and brand partnerships. The director will take the brand to market and grow it by building and running integrated launch and campaign plans, leading the social media and community team, and developing relationships that build awareness and credibility. The position works closely with Product Marketing, which owns positioning and messaging; the Creative Studio, which owns brand identity and creative production; and Growth, which owns paid media and acquisition. As the brand grows, the role will expand into activations, events, and experiential programs. This is a leadership and building role: the brand, its positioning, and its claims framework are still being developed. The director will own launch and campaign planning, social and community strategy, PR and earned media, ambassador and partnership programs, brand health measurement, and relevant budgets. The role is on-site and office-based in Tustin, California.

  • At least 8 years of brand marketing experience for consumer (B2C) brands, including hands-on direct-to-consumer (DTC) experience.
  • Experience leading teams and agency partners.
  • Proven track record running always-on brand programs alongside launches and tentpole campaigns, including taking a new brand, sub-brand, or product line to market.
  • Experience leading social media and community teams and setting channel strategy for a consumer brand.
  • Experience leading PR and earned media, in-house or through agencies, including launch press.
  • Experience building ambassador programs across athletes, experts, and credentialed voices, and developing brand partnerships, including negotiating terms.

  • Comfort defining and reporting brand health metrics and making the case for brand investment alongside growth and performance teams.
  • Experience in health, wellness, medical device, supplements, or a similarly regulated space, with the ability to build a brand presence within regulatory and claims constraints.
  • Ability to make progress with partial information and adjust as decisions are made while the brand, positioning, and claims framework are being developed.
  • Ability to collaborate across product marketing, creative, growth, product, customer experience, legal, and regulatory teams.

  • Develop community from initial monitoring and customer experience support into a broader post-launch program.
  • Brief and collaborate with the Creative Studio on campaign and tentpole creative, key art, brand imagery, and video support through the shared intake process; coordinate campaign assets while the Studio retains ownership of brand identity and standards.
