About The Position
The Director of Banquets directs and administers all banquet functions at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, delivering memorable guest experiences through strong food and beverage operations and exceptional hospitality. Reporting directly to the property’s Executive Chef, this leader oversees a Food & Beverage Manager, three Captains, and 60 Team Members. The ideal candidate has prior Assistant Director experience at a high-volume hotel or previous Director of Banquets experience and brings a hands-on leadership style, a passion for training, a commitment to service excellence, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Direct banquet operations, including guest service, food and beverage quality, new account acquisition, inventory management, cost controls, and systems management.
- Develop, implement, and continually improve departmental service guidelines and standards.
- Monitor service trends and guest satisfaction, identify issues proactively, and implement improvement strategies.
- Drive team engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests and team members.
