About the position
Taskrabbit is seeking a Director of Growth Marketing to drive high, sustainable, and profitable growth for the company. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving growth for marketplace businesses and leading a data-driven test-and-learn approach. They will be responsible for new user acquisition, managing CAC, and elevating brand awareness. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by spearheading growth initiatives and driving improvements across the organization. The Director of Growth Marketing will focus on developing a growth charter, overseeing the user acquisition funnel, testing new initiatives, analyzing campaign performance, and managing a team of growth marketers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee a holistic growth charter for new client growth
- Oversee the entire user acquisition funnel, including targeting, segmentation, ad creative production, buying traffic, and campaign optimization
- Develop SEO strategy to drive growth
- Test new initiatives across the customer journey to optimize acquisition and engagement
- Analyze and monitor campaign performance using relevant OKRs
- Work closely with Data and Finance to improve attribution, forecast ROI, and communicate results
- Continually evaluate and improve the effectiveness of all demand-generating marketing channels
- Unlock performance-driving insights across channel, creative, and attribution disciplines
- Oversee the refinement of media mix and marketing attribution models
- Manage a team of growth marketers focused on SEM, paid social, programmatic, SEO, app, and affiliate marketing
- Recruit and develop talent to build high-velocity growth marketing functions
- Partner across marketing functions, business intelligence, product, and engineering to improve user experiences and marketing reach
- Partner with the creative team to develop content and assets
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Report directly to VP of Marketing
- Bring 15+ years of Growth Marketing experience (5+ years as a leader)
- Have a deep analytics background and proficiency with data tools
- Understand the full business funnel and how decisions impact the bottom line
- Confident in experiment design and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- 15+ years of Growth Marketing experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Experience in marketplace and/or CPG space, as well as successful, rapid-growth DTC businesses
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with brand and integrated Marketing teams
- Deep analytics background and proficiency with data tools and data-driven decision making
- Ability to understand the full business funnel and how decisions impact the bottom line
- Confident in experiment design and test-and-learn approach for growth marketing acceleration
- Experience in developing and overseeing a holistic growth charter for new client growth
- Expertise in user acquisition funnel optimization, including targeting, segmentation, ad creative production, buying traffic, and performance analysis
- Knowledge of SEO strategy and ability to drive growth through editorial, programmatic, and technical enhancements
- Ability to test new initiatives across the customer journey to optimize acquisition and engagement
- Strong analytical skills to analyze and monitor campaign performance using relevant OKRs
- Experience in improving attribution, forecasting, and reporting on ROI
- Ability to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of demand-generating marketing channels
- Proficiency in unlocking performance-driving insights across channel, creative, and attribution disciplines
- Experience in managing a team of growth marketers focused on SEM, paid social, programmatic, SEO, app, and affiliate marketing
- Ability to recruit and develop talent and build high-velocity growth marketing functions
- Strong partnership skills with marketing functions, business intelligence, product, and engineering teams
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as ad networks, creative agencies, and influencers
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing
- Proficiency in using rigorous data tools and data-driven decision making
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
