About the position
The Director, Business Development at WongDoody is responsible for identifying, pitching, and winning digital transformation/experience pursuits. They will leverage their sales acumen and digital design/transformation fluency to contribute to the agency's growth and financial success. This role involves closing UX/CX/Product Design engagements with clients across various sectors, both independently and in partnership with the parent company, Infosys. The Director, Business Development will prioritize and manage new business pursuits with the support of a cross-functional team, and they should thrive in a highly-creative and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Proactively initiate new client relationships and leverage existing partnerships
- Follow up and qualify new business leads and identify and prioritize growth opportunities
- Lead and own the quality and final deliverable of RFI/RFP responses, including proposals and presentations
- Manage complex pitches and prospect meetings, working effectively across all WongDoody capabilities including marketing, creative, experience design, and strategy
- Participate in new business strategy decision-making and planning with business development team and executive leadership
- Build relationships with prospective client contacts
- Have a successful track record (10+ years) of building business within a digital consultancy or product experience-centric shop
- Strong fluency in digital product design and desire to work alongside incredibly talented creatives across all aspects of digital/physical consumer experiences
- Ability to speak to both tactical and strategic decision makers
- Command a room in pitch environments and hold your own in conversations with senior leaders at WongDoody, Infosys, and client-side
- Proven experience in building and leading a cross-functional team in the pitch/BD process
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills
Requirements
- Successful track record (10+ years) of building business within a digital consultancy or product experience-centric shop
