About The Position

This role is responsible for owning and evolving the MeUndies brand strategy, positioning, voice, visual identity, and cultural point of view. The Director will ensure the brand remains distinctive, relevant, emotionally resonant, and consistent across all channels. They will translate company and commercial priorities into clear customer-facing narratives and maintain brand guidelines. This position also involves owning the master marketing calendar, leading cross-functional planning, and managing the go-to-market process for major campaigns, product launches, collaborations, and licensed collections. Additionally, the role oversees the integrated content strategy, social media team, influencer/creator/affiliate strategy, and marketing strategy for licensing, collaborations, and partnerships. A strong understanding of consumer insights, cultural relevance, and brand communications is essential. The Director will also establish clear success metrics, lead post-launch hindsights, and develop a brand-health measurement framework. Leadership of the Brand and Social teams, management of agencies and budgets, and presentation of strategies to senior leadership are key operational aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of brand, integrated marketing, or consumer marketing experience, ideally within a modern DTC, apparel, lifestyle, beauty, or consumer brand.
  • Experience leading brand strategy and integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated success building marketing calendars and launching products, collaborations, or licensed collections.
  • Strong understanding of organic social, creators, influencers, affiliates, partnerships, and content development.
  • Ability to connect brand-building activity with commercial performance.
  • Excellent briefing, storytelling, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights, cultural trends, and modern customer behavior.
  • Experience managing teams, agencies, budgets, and complex cross-functional projects.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with high expectations and limited bureaucracy.
  • Willingness to work at both the strategic and executional levels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the brand remains distinctive, relevant, emotionally resonant, and consistent across DTC, retail, wholesale, and licensed products.
  • Translate company and commercial priorities into clear customer-facing narratives.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines while ensuring teams and external partners apply them consistently.
  • Protect long-term brand equity while helping the company achieve near-term revenue goals.
  • Own the master MeUndies marketing calendar across product launches, promotions, seasonal moments, collaborations, licensing, retail, and cultural opportunities.
  • Create one source of truth connecting Brand, Creative, Growth, Retention, E-commerce, Merchandising, Product, and Wholesale.
  • Lead cross-functional planning meetings and ensure teams understand the objective, audience, message, deliverables, owners, deadlines, and success metrics for every major initiative.
  • Identify calendar conflicts, missed opportunities, and resource constraints early.
  • Lead the end-to-end go-to-market process for major campaigns, product launches, collaborations, and licensed collections.
  • Develop sharp, actionable briefs grounded in customer insight, business goals, channel needs, and a clear creative proposition.
  • Ensure briefs include the audience, insight, objective, positioning, key message, deliverables, channel strategy, timing, budget, and measurement plan.
  • Partner with Creative to develop concepts that are both brand-building and commercially effective.
  • Maintain launch readiness and hold cross-functional teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables.
  • Own the integrated content strategy across organic social, campaigns, editorial, community, creators, partnerships, and emerging channels.
  • Lead the Social team and establish clear channel roles, content pillars, publishing cadence, and platform-specific strategies.
  • Build a content engine that allows MeUndies to respond quickly to cultural moments without losing brand consistency.
  • Balance polished campaign content with creator-led, community-driven, educational, entertaining, and conversion-oriented content.
  • Establish a disciplined testing and learning process for formats, messages, talent, and platforms.
  • Own the strategy for influencers, creators, ambassadors, affiliates, and other external brand advocates.
  • Develop a clear approach to seeding, paid partnerships, long-term creator relationships, performance affiliates, and brand ambassadors.
  • Build programs that generate both culturally relevant content and measurable customer acquisition.
  • Partner with Growth to define channel economics, attribution, testing budgets, and performance expectations.
  • Identify creators and partners who authentically represent the MeUndies customer and brand values.
  • Lead the marketing strategy for entertainment licenses, collaborations, and strategic brand partnerships.
  • Partner with Product, Merchandising, Creative, Legal, and licensors from concept through launch.
  • Develop a balanced licensing calendar that can drive customer acquisition and revenue without overwhelming the core MeUndies brand.
  • Identify new collaboration and partnership opportunities that expand cultural relevance, audience reach, and commercial potential.
  • Ensure all licensed marketing meets partner requirements while still feeling unmistakably MeUndies.
  • Build a strong understanding of the MeUndies customer through research, social listening, reviews, community feedback, competitive analysis, and performance data.
  • Translate customer and cultural insights into actionable campaign, product, and content opportunities.
  • Track cultural shifts, category trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activity.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the customer and help teams understand what is changing in the market.
  • Partner with internal and external resources on PR, earned media, founder communications, events, and brand reputation.
  • Develop strategies that deepen customer participation, advocacy, and community.
  • Identify opportunities for experiential marketing, events, pop-ups, and earned cultural moments.
  • Help shape how MeUndies responds to sensitive cultural, customer, or reputational issues.
  • Establish clear success metrics before every campaign and launch.
  • Lead formal post-launch hindsights that assess creative performance, channel performance, customer response, operational execution, and commercial results.
  • Turn findings into specific changes for future campaigns instead of simply reporting results.
  • Develop a brand-health measurement framework covering awareness, consideration, sentiment, engagement, customer growth, and brand relevance.
  • Partner with Growth and Finance to understand incrementality, return on marketing investment, and the relationship between brand activity and revenue.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable the Brand and Social teams.
  • Build clear workflows, decision rights, timelines, and standards for excellent execution.
  • Manage relevant agencies, freelancers, creators, production partners, and brand budgets.
  • Prioritize resources across competing initiatives and maintain a high bar for quality, speed, and accountability.
  • Present strategies, plans, results, and recommendations to senior leadership.
