About The Position
Endeavor DDD Services is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional to provide personalized care and support to members of all ages with developmental disabilities in the Laveen area. The role focuses on helping members build confidence, life skills, and independence while maintaining their dignity and safety. DSPs work with members, families, guardians, and healthcare professionals in a supportive, collaborative environment. Scheduling options include mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Patience, empathy, strong communication skills, and a passion for supporting individuals with special needs.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them upon hire.
- Article 9 training certification, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
- Active Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate support aligned with each member’s Individual Support Plan.
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes personal growth, dignity, and independence.
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care, meal support, and goal management.
- Use teaching strategies to help members build daily living skills and participate in community activities.
- Collaborate with families, guardians, and healthcare professionals.
