About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. The role focuses on fostering increased independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring individuals’ health and safety needs are met. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required. The position may suit candidates interested in starting or developing a career in healthcare or the IDD field.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A personal, reliable vehicle that the employee is willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds, and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
