About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes in Tipp City, Ohio, and surrounding areas. The role focuses on fostering individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided, and prior experience is not required. Walk-in interviews for residential locations take place every Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the local office, 7695 Poe Ave., Dayton, OH 45414. Applicants should bring an Ohio driver’s license, employment eligibility documents, an auto insurance card, and proof of their highest level of education.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A personal, reliable vehicle that the employee is willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Motor vehicle record must meet ViaQuest’s Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of daily life.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Transport individuals served using a personal vehicle.
