About The Position

First Step Healthcare is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional to provide in-home support to one individual in Delaware, Ohio. The role focuses on compassionate assistance with daily living, health and wellness, and community participation. The schedule is 7 to 20 hours per week on weekday evenings, Monday through Friday, with shifts starting after 4:00 PM. Pay starts at $17.25 per hour and increases to $17.50 per hour after successful completion of a 90-day introductory period.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and assist with repositioning using proper technique or adaptive equipment.
• Complete state-mandated 8-hour annual training and re-certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including assistance with mobility and hygiene.
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Support medication and health monitoring under nursing guidance.
• Drive the individual to appointments and community outings.
• Document daily progress, services provided, and changes in condition.
• Complete weekly reports on goals and overall health.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
