About The Position

RISE is seeking Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about working with people with disabilities. The role involves assisting individuals with daily living, hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and behavioral supports. Positions may be based in residential homes or day programs, or involve supporting people in the community or in their own homes. The position is part-time and located in Price, Utah, with an hourly pay range of $17.00–$17.00 and any-shift scheduling.

Requirements

Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must obtain approved annual background clearance through the Office of Licensing.
Specific language abilities other than English may be required.
Must have reliable transportation to the work site and for transporting people, if applicable.
Must have access to a telephone.
Must meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned.
Must be at least 21 years old if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle.
If using a personal vehicle to transport people, must maintain a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance meeting RISE’s minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist people with disabilities with daily living activities, hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
Provide behavioral supports.
Work in residential homes, day programs, community settings, or individuals’ own homes.
Transport people when applicable, subject to RISE requirements.
