About The Position
RISE is seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals passionate about working with people with disabilities. The role involves supporting people in a variety of settings, including residential homes, day programs, community settings, and their own homes. Support may include assistance with daily living, hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and behavioral needs. RISE provides services such as residential care, day programs, employment assistance, managed care, and hourly supports, with a mission to create opportunities for and with people.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
- Must obtain an approved Background Clearance Application through the Office of Licensing annually.
- Specific language abilities other than English may be required.
- Must have reliable transportation to the work site and for transporting people, if applicable.
- Must have access to a telephone.
- Must meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years old if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle.
- If using a personal vehicle to transport people, must maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance meeting RISE insurance policy requirements.
