About The Position

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate, hardworking people to support individuals with disabilities as they learn, work, and play in their communities. Based in a home where people receive support, Direct Support Professionals provide caregiver assistance with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. They may also accompany individuals in the community to facilitate community involvement. DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life of the people they support. Previous experience is not required; training is provided for candidates with the right attitude. The listed shift is 6 PM–10 PM.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Accompany individuals in the community to facilitate community involvement.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.
