PT Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate and hardworking Direct Support Professionals to support people with disabilities as they learn, work, and participate in their communities. The role is based in a person-supported home and provides caregiver assistance with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. Direct Support Professionals may also accompany individuals in the community and support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance quality of life. The stated shift is 6 PM–10 PM. Training is provided for candidates with the right attitude.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have valid automobile insurance.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must pass a background screen and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Assist people with disabilities with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Accompany individuals in the community to facilitate community involvement.
- Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.
