About The Position

KenCCID is seeking a highly motivated Direct Support Professional to support individuals with disabilities in their daily activities. The role focuses on providing high-quality care and support while promoting clients’ independence and well-being. The Direct Support Professional works with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet each client’s needs. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling options. Listed shifts are 7AM–3PM, 3PM–11PM, and 11PM–7AM. Pay is $18.20 per hour, or $19.20 per hour on weekends. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license held for more than one year.
Qualified to work in the United States.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Complete a physical examination, including a tuberculosis test.
Ability to read and understand English for reading medical prescriptions, directions, recipes, policies, procedures, and directions for managing individuals’ daily lives and activities and maintaining a safe, healthy home.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Experience with behavior management techniques.
Experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet each client’s needs.
Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Administer medications and monitor health conditions as needed.
Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
Assist with meal planning and preparation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and activities.
