About The Position
RISE is seeking Direct Support Professionals passionate about working with individuals with disabilities. The role supports people in a variety of capacities and settings, including residential homes, day programs, the community, and their own homes. Support may include assistance with daily living, hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and behavioral needs. The position is part-time and based in Richfield, Utah, with negligible travel.
Requirements
- Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate for the specific job.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must obtain approved annual background clearance through the Office of Licensing.
- Specific language abilities other than English may be required.
- Must have reliable transportation to the work site and, if applicable, for transporting people.
- Must have access to a telephone.
- Must meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years old if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle.
- If using a personal vehicle to transport people, must maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance meeting RISE's minimum insurance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist people with daily living activities.
- Provide hygiene support.
- Assist with meal preparation.
- Support mobility.
- Provide behavioral supports.
- Work in residential homes, day programs, community settings, or people's own homes.
- Transport people when applicable, subject to RISE requirements.
