About The Position

RISE is seeking Direct Support Professionals who are passionate about working with people with disabilities. Positions are available across a variety of settings and capacities, including residential homes, day programs, community settings, and individuals’ own homes. The role includes supporting people with daily living, hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and behavioral needs. Employees must also follow other job-related instructions and perform additional duties requested by their supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
• Must obtain an approved Background Clearance Application through the Office of Licensing annually.
• Specific language abilities other than English may be required.
• Must have reliable transportation to the work site and, if applicable, for transporting people.
• Must have access to a telephone.
• Must meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned.
• Must be at least 21 years old if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle.
• If using a personal vehicle to transport people, must maintain a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance meeting RISE insurance policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with daily living activities.
• Provide hygiene support.

• Provide behavioral supports.
• Transport people when applicable and when qualified to do so.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor.
