About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. You help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice. The role offers varied day-to-day work and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required. Paid training is provided. DDS Medication Certification may be obtained after hire if not already held.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid.

- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living skills, including personal care, meals, and routines.
- Support medical needs and appointments.
- Follow individualized support and behavior plans.
- Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
- Complete routine overnight safety checks for overnight staff.
- Work collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team.
