Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Entry-Level Human Services
About The Position
Marrakech is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. DSPs help individuals live safe, fulfilling lives and build trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice. The work is person-centered and grounded in dignity, respect, advocacy, and meaningful connection. The role involves helping individuals with daily living, medical needs, individualized support plans, and community participation. It offers paid training and career growth. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid.
- Reliable and compassionate approach to supporting individuals.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living skills, including personal care, meals, and routines.
- Support medical needs and appointments.
- Follow individualized support and behavior plans.
- Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
- Complete routine overnight safety checks for overnight staff.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
