About The Position

The Arc of Opportunity is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities and help them reach their fullest potential. The role involves advocating for individuals, implementing their Individual Service Plans, supporting daily living activities, and helping with appointments, including driving the Agency’s van. Staff are expected to interact respectfully and professionally, attend required trainings, apply what they learn, and communicate effectively. This is a part-time overnight position scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., for 24 hours per week. The stated asleep rate is $17.65 per hour. The awake rate is $20.81 per hour without MAP certification and $21.85 per hour with MAP certification.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Active and valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass background checks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain periods of sitting or standing.
Ability to assist in a restraint if needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience in substance abuse or mental health.
