About The Position

Sevita is hiring a Direct Support Caregiver to assist people with developmental goals and daily living. The role includes helping participants grow, learn, and live well; building meaningful relationships; supporting community participation and favorite activities; and assisting with goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Caregivers also assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.

The position is full-time, scheduled from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and every other Saturday. The listed wage is $17 per hour. Weekend shifts are scheduled. Candidates must have held a driver's license for at least one year after the permit period, meet Sevita’s driving insurability policy, and provide proof of full-coverage vehicle insurance and access to a reliable personal vehicle.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; proof of education is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience in intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Valid driver's license held for at least one year after the permit period.
• Clean driving record meeting Sevita’s insurability policy.
• Access to a registered, reliable personal vehicle and proof of full-coverage vehicle insurance.
