About The Position

Sevita is hiring a Direct Support Caregiver to help people grow, learn, and live well. Caregivers build meaningful relationships with the individuals they serve, support their participation in the community and favorite activities, and help them work toward developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. The role also includes assistance with personal hygiene and support for individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs.

This is a full-time position scheduled for 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pay is $17.00 per hour. The position requires a valid driver’s license held for at least one year after the permit period, a clean driving record meeting Sevita’s insurability policy, and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license held for at least one year after the permit period.
• A clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behavior.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
