Direct Support Caregiver
About The Position
Sevita is hiring a part-time Direct Support Caregiver to help people with developmental goals and support them in growing, learning, and living well. The role involves developing meaningful relationships with participants, helping them take part in their communities and favorite activities, and supporting goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Caregivers also assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs. Available shifts are every other Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The position pays $17 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license held for at least one year after the permit period, and a clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.
- Access to a registered vehicle and proof of insurance.
- Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor.
- Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
