About The Position

As a Direct Support Caregiver at Sevita, you will help people grow, learn, and live well while building meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve. You will support participants in taking part in their communities and enjoying favorite activities, as well as working toward developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. The role also includes assisting with personal hygiene and supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs.

This position is part-time, with shifts available Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:50 p.m., or every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Pay is $17.00 per hour. Applicants must have held a driver's license for at least one year after obtaining a permit and have a clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license held for at least one year after obtaining a permit.
• A clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.
• Access to a registered vehicle and proof of insurance.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
