About The Position
Direct Care Workers support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. The role helps people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice. Shifts are available for first, second, and third shifts. Paid training is provided to help employees succeed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living skills, including personal care, meals, and routines.
- Support medical needs and appointments.
- Follow individualized support and behavior plans.
- Encourage community involvement and social engagement.
- Complete routine overnight safety checks for overnight staff.
- Work collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team.
