About The Position

The Dining Room Attendant assists servers in providing guests with courteous and efficient food and beverage service. The role maintains clean tables, service areas, and equipment, and stocks the wares and supplies needed for service. The position is part of the opening team at Oak & Laurel restaurant. The posting lists both a full-time and a part-time opening.

Requirements

High school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience.
At least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages, if applicable.
Good understanding of English and the ability to communicate effectively with guests.

Responsibilities

Wipe tables and seats, replace dirty tablecloths, and set tables with clean linens, condiments, and other supplies.
Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and tableware to the kitchen for cleaning.
Clean spills and broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties to facilitate customer service.
Maintain adequate supplies of clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
Serve ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to patrons.
Fill beverage or ice dispensers and stock service areas with condiments, refilling containers as needed.
Locate items requested by customers.
Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply departments to serving counters.
Assist waiters and waitresses by serving food to customers when needed.
Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas and mop or vacuum floors.
Carry trays from food counters to tables for cafeteria patrons.
Replenish food or equipment at steam tables or service bars.
Wash glasses or other serving equipment at bars.
Carry linens to or from laundry areas.
Stock refrigerating units with wine or bottled beer and replace empty beer kegs.
