About The Position
The Dining Room Attendant supports the restaurant’s food and beverage team by preparing and maintaining dining areas, assisting guests, and helping deliver a positive dining experience. The role is suited to a positive, service-minded team player who enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment. The position may include morning, evening, and weekend shifts. The attendant cleans and resets tables, maintains service stations, welcomes guests, serves and replenishes beverages, bread, and butter, and transports used tableware to the dishwashing area. Other duties include general cleaning, folding napkins, restocking condiments, responding to spills and special guest requests, cross-training, and reporting suspicious activity to a supervisor.
Requirements
- At least one year of fast-casual dining or customer service experience is preferred; the employer will train a person with the right service attitude.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Be a team player with a positive, upbeat, service-minded attitude.
Responsibilities
- Quickly clean dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
- Promptly and consistently reset tables with spotless service ware.
- Maintain the stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods, including silverware, linen, and condiments.
- Greet guests pleasantly and courteously.
- Serve and replenish beverages, bread, and butter.
- Transport dirty tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned.
- Fold napkins and restock condiments to maintain adequate supplies.
- Handle unexpected spills, special guest requests, and cross-training to support guest satisfaction.
- Report suspicious persons or activities to a supervisor immediately.
