About The Position
The Bartender serves beverages and menu items to guests in a professional, competent, and prompt manner to ensure guest satisfaction. This is a midshift lounge bartender position at Marriott Crabtree in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a stated shift of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and pay of $12.50 per hour. The role includes bar setup and breakdown, preparing drinks to beverage standards, handling orders and payments according to established procedures, maintaining inventory and supplies, and keeping the work area clean and safe. Responsibilities
- Pick up the bank and guest checks from the prescribed area.
- Set up the bar.
- Break down the bar, secure liquor, and store fruit and juices properly.
- Accept drink orders from guests and servers in the proper calling order.
- Prepare cocktails according to beverage standards using a standard jigger.
- Work professionally with guests and fellow associates.
- Follow check-handling procedures, including credit card policies; cash tabs are not allowed.
- Red-line server drink orders and check tickets for items that did not ring up correctly.
- Prepare beverage requisitions for liquor.
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, hospitable, effective, and professional working atmosphere.
- Perform duties safely using established procedures and proper equipment.
- Follow established procedures for promotional and birthday drinks.
- Complete opening and closing duties listed on the checklist.
- Follow beverage-manual procedures for serving alcohol and identifying minors.
- Check and replace glassware as needed.
- Stock and replenish ice at all ice stations.
- Clean floors in the assigned area at the end of each shift.
- Empty and steam-clean trash cans at the end of each shift or as needed.
- Manage soda and juice inventory and rotate stock.
- Stock and replenish bottled and keg beer as needed.
