DINING/BAR SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Dining/Bar Supervisor provides the first level of supervision of food, beverage, and meal services while overseeing production. This full-time role is based at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. The supervisor helps ensure that food and beverages are high quality, good-tasting, well-presented, and served within established time frames; oversees daily functions based on menus and production needs; monitors staff and service practices; assesses guest satisfaction; communicates with staff; and enforces safety and sanitation standards. Days and hours may vary, with details provided during the interview. The position pays $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. Because work takes place in an educational facility, work may decline or cease during school breaks, and such periods may be unpaid temporary layoffs. Depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at a different location during breaks.
Requirements
- Restaurant serving and dining service experience is required.
- Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality, good-tasting, well-presented food and beverages are served within established time frames.
- Review menus and production needs to oversee and manage daily functions.
- Monitor staff daily to ensure systems, protocols, and quality assurance tools are used correctly.
- Visit guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
- Communicate regularly with staff, formally and informally.
- Enforce safety standards with employees.
- Enforce sanitation standards daily and sign off on cleaning procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
