Dining/Bar Supervisor (Full Time)
About The Position
The Dining/Bar Supervisor provides the first level of supervision for food, beverage, and meal services and oversees production. This is a full-time position at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. The schedule and hours vary by day and are discussed during the interview. Restaurant serving and dining service experience is required. The advertised pay range is $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. Because the position serves an educational facility, work may decline or cease during winter and summer breaks. Such periods may be unpaid and treated as a temporary layoff; depending on business needs, the associate may be required to work year-round, potentially at another location during breaks.
Requirements
- Restaurant serving and dining service experience is required.
- Be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure food and beverages are high quality, taste good, are well presented, and are served within established time frames.
- Review menus and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions.
- Monitor staff daily to ensure systems, protocols, and quality assurance tools are used correctly.
- Visit guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
- Communicate regularly with staff, both formally and informally.
- Enforce safety standards with employees.
- Ensure sanitation standards are enforced daily and sign off on cleaning procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
