About The Position

Sensei Lāna‘i, A Four Seasons Resort is seeking a Dining Assistant to support front-of-house operations and help create exceptional guest experiences. The role maintains clean, organized, guest-ready dining areas and assists with table service and meal progression. The schedule may vary based on business needs; the hospitality operation runs seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• Must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
• Must obtain a Tuberculosis (TB) clearance card, as required by the Hawaii State Department of Health.
• Hawaii Food Handler’s Card is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and push or pull as needed during shifts.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays; scheduled days and times may vary based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Maui Liquor Card preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables with clean linens, silverware, condiments, and glassware, preparing them for subsequent courses and guest seating.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness by removing used dishes and trash, replenishing water, napkins, and condiments, and keeping side stations organized and stocked.
• Support opening and closing operations by restocking beverages and supplies, polishing silverware and glassware, setting up water stations and ice buckets, and setting up or breaking down side stations.
• Assist with dining room setup and maintenance, including arranging tables and chairs and preparing service areas.
• Support team members during high-volume service periods.
• Maintain knowledge of coffee, tea, and specialty non-alcoholic beverage service standards to ensure proper setup, presentation, and guest support.
• Transport dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils to designated cleaning areas and help maintain a clean, safe, guest-ready restaurant environment.
