About The Position

Mercier Consultancy Group is seeking an Arabic-speaking professional for a Digital Trust and Safety Analyst role with a globally recognized social media platform. This on-site position in Sofia, Bulgaria, focuses on ensuring safe, trustworthy, and policy-compliant digital environments for Arabic-speaking users. The role involves moderating content, investigating user activity, and collaborating with various teams to maintain platform integrity.

Requirements

• Native or fluent Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written) with high cultural and linguistic accuracy.
• Valid EU passport is mandatory for eligibility to work on-site in Sofia, Bulgaria.
• Good working knowledge of English (written and verbal).
• High degree of professionalism, resilience, and ability to handle sensitive or distressing content.

• A genuine interest in digital safety, online trust frameworks, or content moderation within the social media industry.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Prior experience in trust and safety, content review, customer support, or a related field within a social media or digital platform environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and moderate Arabic-language content across social media platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines, platform policies, and regional regulatory standards.
• Identify and evaluate potentially harmful, misleading, or policy-violating content, including misinformation, hate speech, graphic material, and fraud, within the Arabic-speaking social media landscape.
• Conduct thorough investigations into reported user accounts, posts, and digital interactions, applying sound judgment and established trust and safety frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (policy, legal, product) to escalate complex or high-risk content cases.
• Maintain meticulous records of content decisions, case outcomes, and escalation patterns.
• Monitor emerging trends, regional events, and cultural contexts within Arabic-speaking communities that may influence content risk profiles.
• Contribute to the refinement of trust and safety policies by providing culturally informed insights specific to Arabic-language content and user behavior.
• Meet and exceed performance benchmarks for accuracy, productivity, and quality of content review.
