About The Position

The Digital & IT Rotational Development Program (DITRDP) is a two-year immersive development program that gives participants the opportunity to explore D&IT, contribute to meaningful work, and build a strong foundation for a long-term career at Corning. Through four 6-month rotations, participants gain hands-on experience across areas such as business IT, manufacturing systems, cybersecurity, data and analytics, IT operations, enterprise platforms, automation, and digital workplace solutions. Participants work on real business and technology challenges while building technical skills, business understanding, professional confidence, and a strong network across D&IT. With ongoing coaching, feedback, and program support, participants prepare to transition into a landing role that aligns their strengths and interests with Corning’s business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Prior internship or co-op experience, preferably in Information Technology.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage assignments, follow through on commitments, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft 365 applications
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting, automation, programming, business analysis, cybersecurity, IT service management, or project coordination
  • Ability to communicate and present information to various levels of stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Complete rotations that build foundational technical, business, and organizational knowledge.
  • Contribute to project and operational priorities through problem-solving, data analysis, automation, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Learn how D&IT enables Corning’s operations, employees, customers, and business objectives.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with supervisors, teammates, and business partners
  • Demonstrate ownership, adaptability, learning agility, and follow-through.
  • Participate in cohort meetings, mentoring, networking, and leadership development.
